Telehealth lets you see a health care provider by video or phone without coming into the office. Urgent Care Center of Westmont, also known as Immediate Care Center of Westmont, offers virtual visits for many non-emergency concerns. Our team is led by board-certified physicians.
A virtual visit works well when talking and looking are enough to decide next steps. Some problems need hands-on care, such as a lung exam, a throat swab or an X-ray. When that happens, we will ask you to walk in or check in online at our Westmont, IL clinic. To ask about a telehealth visit, call (630) 324-6825.
MedlinePlus (from the National Library of Medicine) describes telehealth as health care delivered from a distance using phones, computers or other devices. A “virtual visit” by phone or video chat is the most common type.
Telehealth has limits. A provider cannot listen to your lungs, look in your ears or run a rapid test through a screen. We will tell you honestly when a virtual visit is not enough.
Call us at (630) 324-6825 to ask about a telehealth visit and how to connect. Before your visit:
If your provider decides you need an exam, a lab test or imaging, you can come to our clinic. On-site X-ray imaging is available only at our main clinic at 29 N Cass Ave, Ste A, Westmont, IL 60559.
Telehealth is not for emergencies. Call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room for:
These in-person services pair well with a virtual visit:
Patients reach us from towns across DuPage and Cook counties, including Clarendon Hills, IL, Downers Grove, IL, Hinsdale, IL, Darien, IL and Western Springs, IL. If a virtual visit turns into an in-person visit, both of our Westmont, IL locations welcome walk-ins Mon–Fri 9 AM–6 PM and Sat–Sun 9 AM–5 PM.
Coverage for telehealth depends on your insurance plan. MedlinePlus notes that not every insurer pays for every telehealth service, so call (630) 324-6825 to confirm before your visit. We accept most major plans, including Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Humana, UnitedHealthcare and Medicare. See our cost and insurance page for the full list, or our self-pay urgent care pricing if you do not plan to use insurance.
For some concerns, yes. For others, an exam or test is needed. Your provider will tell you if you should come in.
Call us to ask. For a sick child who needs an exam, our pediatric urgent care is open to walk-ins.
Call us or come in. If you have warning signs such as trouble breathing or chest pain, call 911.
Call (630) 324-6825. If you would rather be seen in person, you can check in online for a walk-in visit.
