Yes, Meridian is on our accepted list (Sept 2026). Meridian runs several Illinois programs, and each has its own rules, so call (630) 324-6825 to confirm your specific plan. Urgent Care Center of Westmont, also known as Immediate Care Center of Westmont, takes walk-ins 7 days a week.
Meridian is a health plan company that serves people in Illinois. Its website lists a Meridian Medicaid Plan, a Meridian Managed Long Term Services and Supports plan, and a dual-eligible plan called Wellcare Meridian Dual Align. It also links to YouthCare, a plan for young people connected to the state child welfare system.
That means two neighbors can both say they have Meridian and have very different coverage. The program name on your card is the detail that counts when you call us.
Illinois programs behind the name
Illinois Medicaid managed care is called HealthChoice Illinois. The state's page on HealthChoice Illinois says YouthCare is a statewide plan run by Meridian for youth in and formerly in DCFS care, and it lists Meridian for former youth in care. You can read the details on the Illinois HFS managed care page.
The same state page says the Medicare-Medicaid Alignment Initiative ended on December 31, 2025. It moved to fully integrated dual eligible special needs plans on January 1, 2026. If your mailing still uses the older program name, check your current card.

What your plan type means at urgent care

Medicaid managed care plans work with a set group of doctors and clinics called a network. Urgent care is for illness or injury that needs prompt attention but is not an emergency, as HealthCare.gov puts it. Some plans ask you to start with your primary care doctor first. Others let you walk in.
Because rules differ by program, we do not promise what a visit will be billed for. Your plan decides that, and we confirm what we can when you call.

Urgent care does not replace an emergency room. For trouble breathing, a seizure, a serious injury, or signs of a stroke, call 911. For milder problems, use our urgent care or ER tool.
Coverage depends on your Meridian program and plan. Most Medicaid plans include a way to be seen for urgent problems, but the details differ. Call the member services number on your card and call us at (630) 324-6825 to confirm your plan.
